On vacation

Sorry I haven't updated my blog. I am on a vacation at Paula and Daniel's. I really really really like it here and I get to play with the cutest girls ever: Hailey and April. Life is good!

Ridiculous

My people, Sandra and Mathias, think of themselves as really clever sometimes. But many are the times they think they have figured me out and then stands there with questionmarks in their faces when I refuse to go through the tunnel or jump on the rock, even though I've done it hundred of times.

Now, it isn't that I suddenly don't know HOW to do it, I just can't see the point with it. Yes, I learnt to go through the tunnel or jump over a hinder, but WHY should I do it. They better offer me something really really good in return. They are beginning to understand that, but they have quite a time left until they fully get me. Heehee... mystery dog, that's me!

Pearl is back on track

Sandras car is perfectly fine again. It was something that was wrong with the engine but the engineer changed a few things and voila, it is alive!

When we were on a walk earlier we did an excercise called: "Look at me when I call you" Everytime I looked at Sandra she rewarded me and since I'm such a clever dog I soon looked at her almost all the time. I could see the excitement in her eyes. she was really really pleased. But when we got close to home there were to many things to keep track of so I forgot the excercise. Sandra didn't seem to mind though. Now it is time for dinner.

Pearl is out of order

Pearl is the name of Sandras precious Volvo from 89. Today, on her way home from work in Södertälje, Pearl suddenly began to behave strangely. The lights went pale and speed was decreased. When they were about 3 miles from home Pearl died. Fortunately Sandra managed to roll to the side of the highway and luckily the Warninglights was still in function. Mathias father was kind enough to go get them home. Well, even though it is sad that Pearl is out of order, I am glad Sandra is alright and home safe.

Ps. Attempts to revive Pearl are going to be made tomorrow. I am holding my paws!

Dogwatcher Sara

Mathias went to Gävle with his friends yesterday and Sandra had to work, so they left me for eight hours by myself... naaaaa, just kidding. They would never ever do that. Sandra arranged for me to be watched by her good friend Sara, despite this, Sandra was sick of worrying and called every 30 minutes. She didn't have to worry at all! Sara is great and I liked her immediatly.

First I slept about one hour since I was tired after the agilitytraining, and then we played for a while. She has the same dogphilosophy as Sandra and Mathias so everything went smoothly. She also took me for this long long walk which was nice. During this time Sandra had called and was deadsick of worrying since Sara didn't bring her cellphone out on the walk. Haha, Sandra need to relax, and Mathias as well. I heard he called Sandra a couple of times as well to check how it was going. I am a big dog and can take care of myself, but it's always nice to have company!

Vingåker, a nice town

I'm sorry I haven't written anything in my blog lately but I have been busy. As I told you in the previous entry me and Sandra went to Vingåker this thursday. When we arrived Sandras mother and and old golden retriever lady joined us for a walk to the local kennelclub. I got to follow inside which was very exciting.

When we got back home I first explored the whole apartment, looking for hidden treasures and dangers. I found none. Apparently Sandra had told her mother to put away all the toys so that me and Nanna wouldn't fight over it. After my exploringtour I tried to play with Nanna, but she didn't want to. She growled something about me being to severe so I went to my cage to sulk a while.

The reason me and Sandra went to Vingåker was so she could help her mother as a teacher on the friday. When she left that morning Sandra was very anxious about leaving me and Nanna alone. She had put up a fence in the livingroom (yes, the kind of fence I love to throw away, I tell you, I'm just to clever for these people) so that me and Nanna couldn't play when she was away. Since Sandra was that nervous about me, breaking out, I decided to leave the fence alone and behave like the marvelous dog I am. Even though it was boring without Sandra it was really worth it when she awarded me with a big smile and hugs and kisses when she came back from work.

Rumour has it...

...that I am going with Sandra to Vingåker today. She is going to visit her mother, brother and old dog Nanna. Sandras mother has arranged so that we can stay over night. Of course I'm going to miss Mathias but we had a really nice moment in bed this morning when I woke him up, he played with me and I enjoyed it very much, so I think I can live of that until tomorrow. Video will come soon.

Visit to Eskilstuna

Sandra had made plans with her friend Linda to meet today. Since both Mathias and Sandra thinks it's good that I see new places and meet new people she decided to bring me as well.

Linda really fancied me and sat down many times on the floor with me. She said I had a wonderful temperament and a lovely way of being. Of course she thought I looked good, but almost everyone thinks that so... ;-)

When we were going out for a walk we visited a petstore. They had lots of lovely collars and leashes. Sandra talked about pimping me with glitter and stones but Linda kept her on the ground saying Mathias probably wouldn't like that. But we did find a nice collar with chinese dragons in gold on a black leather collar with padding. We will discuss it with Mathias and maybe I will get that before Malmö.

In the petstore was a girl working, who had a mother who wanted a Shiba Inu. She was very impressed by me since she thought Shiba Inus was a bit reserved and arrogant. Sandra told her about our good friend Paula and her kennel and as far as I know she was going to tell her mother to contact Paula when the time was right. It would be cool with a Aangenaam dog in Eskilstuna.

Pressies for ME

When Sandra got home from work today she had bought presents for me!
The football is new for today, and the yellow thingy is from Japan, that's my favouritetoy. Mathias calls it a pineapple, I think it looks more like a tire
A TUNNEL!

And a new bed, just as promised!

This is a video of me in the tunnel. Sandra says I'm really good at this.

Goodmorning

Yesterday I got a little present aswell. Since I decided to stay in my room while Mathias family was here (because of all the noisy children and many adults) they decided to give me a bone. I liked it very much and carried it with me for the whole evening. I discovered something when I was laying there on the carpet chewing on my bone; Sandra and Mathias wasn't going to take the bone away from me. I wasn't sure before but now I feel they can walk very close to me or even take it, I know I will get it back.

All together; I really like it here and I feel I can really trust Sandra and Mathias for doing the right thing at any given time.

Saturday 21 February 2009

Happy Birthday to you Mathias!

Today Mathias is turning 22. Sandra and I have bought him a gift, and I really hope he likes it. Later today his family is coming for coffee and cake. Yesterday Sandra baked buns and today she was supposed to do a sticky chocolate cake but she didn't have enough butter so we are going to have to buy some more. Fieldtrip! :)

Feeling blue

I'm not feeling very well today. I just threw up on the carpet. Sandra was very understanding about it. I just couldn't keep it in. I think it has something to do with the towel I dissecated yesterday. All those threads must have messed up my stomach. I hope I get better soon. Mathias told me to rest a while and drink water, and hopefully it will get better.

Thursday 19 February 2009

MY SANDRA

We also went to the agilityfield today with Mathias sister and her dog Wilma. I think we did pretty good and Sandra was pleased. There was only one thing that bothered me; Sandra took Wilma for a lap around the agilityfield and I just couldn't take it. Sandra belongs to me and I don't want to share her with anyone except Mathias. After that I did my very very best to impress Sandra and that payed off. Sandra was extremely pleased with me when we got home and bragged to Mathias about my achievements.

Interesting walk

Sandra seems to have been reading a lot on Shibainfo.com lately because today she decided to do some tricky excercises on our walk. We began with me jumping onto rocks and being rewarded treats when I did it correctly. This was really fun since I love to climb and jump... and treats of course.

The other thing was more difficult. We didn't follow any paths and Sandra kept changing directions all the time. Whenever I tried to get control of the walk and direction she decided to go the other way. After a while I got tired of trying to run the walk so I settled for the idea of Sandra being the leader for a while. I must say, she did pretty good. She found some treats and actually shared it with me! =)

Chicken... nice

Because of all the walks and activation Sandra and Mathias has put me on a new sort of food. It is called Purina Pro Plan Performance and is suggested for dogs that works a lot and need extra fat in their food.

I have to say I really like this new food, the flavour is chicken and rice. I heard Paula telling Sandra she will be giving me cooked chicken in the showring... I say: YUM YUM

Funny creatures

I came across some funny looking creatures a few minutes ago. Mathias told me they were called flies and that I wasn't allowed to eat them.

Tip of today!

A tip to all dogs out there is to always clean out your traces when you've been doing something bad. Like me, I'm not allowed to be on the sofa table, I don't know why, cause' when i'm on the table I get a terrific view.

But this morning when Sandra and Mathias were still in bed I took a risk and jumped on the table to look outside the window. This was a bad idea, it was a very sunny morning and when the sun reflected on the table my footprints became very visible for Sandra and Mathias to see, they just laughed, so I guess it was okay.

Sunday 15 February 2009

Basketball

When Sandra got home from work she took me to see Mathias play ball. There were two teams and one ball: my favourite kind of ball, an orange one. The two teams tried to get the ball into baskets of net on either side of the hall. If no one objects, I am going to call this very interesting game: Basketball.

I watched the game very closely and cheered whenever Mathias team took a point. In the summer, me and Mathias will practice basketball outside. Sandra says I would be a great defense player for Mathias to practice his skills with the ball.

When the game finished I got to meet his teammates and his opponents. They all thought I was really cool and they tried to dribble me off, but I kept track of the ball all the time. Poor Sandra had to run after me since she didn't want to unleash me. But it was great fun.

Now I am going to join Mathias in the bathroom. I just love to lay on the floor while any of them are taking a shower. I wonder why!?

Saturday 14 February 2009

Work day

Today I got to come with Sandra to her work. She has two jobs: one at the Mansion and one in Södertälje at a restaurant. Today she was working in Södertälje. Of course I couldn't be in the restaurant since I've got fur, so I did some paperwork at the office.

There where a lot of young people that wanted to pet me, walk me and so on but Sandra said no. I wouldn't have mind, I like kids, and I think I would have had a better chance of exploring the kitchen with a kid on the leash than Sandra.

Even though I've had an interesting day, it is always nice to come home to Mathias and just relax in my own home, with both of my family members.

Friday 13 February 2009

A small bruise

After the agility I played with my beloved football and I got a bruise on my left paw. One of the claws was bleeding. When we got home Sandra rinsed the paw under the watertap and then put on a Aloe Vera thing with no water and only natural ingredients. It tasted good... heehee

Agility, without photos

Since Sandra is going to work all weekend we went to the Agilityplace today. This time Sandra tried to let go of the leash and let it hang loose (the place is surrounded with fences). That she wouldn't have done! The minute I realized I was "off" leash I immediatly started running. Oh, the feeling was great! Sandra wasn't too pleased so she uses her secret weapon: A FOOTBALL. I had to decide... my freedom... or the football. For all you shibas out there; I'm ashamed of what I choose. But I can't resist a ball. So to all you freedom loving shibas: I'll be wiser next time... perhaps.

Anyway, Sandra decided to run with me today and we quickly figured out a plan to take the different objects. This is how we did it:

1. Three of these:

2. This balance thing

3.

4.

5. Some more hinders

6 Finally this:

A little video

This was just an experiment for the blog. If it was possible to upload a video. It is not starquality, but it is a little something from our long walk yesterday. Enjoy

Deer, roe deer and wild bore

We went on a trip to Mathias summerplace today. Of course it wasn't summer there but in the summer, we are going to spend a lot of time out there. Anyway... In the surroundings of the summercottage there are a lot of wild animal. How many I didn't realize until we were walking next to a large field. Suddenly 15 deers started jumping, apparently scared by us. It was a great thing to see. They are really graceful, and BIG!

We moved on and then we saw four roe deers just in the other end of the big field. They weren't so easily scared but stood and stared at us for a while before they jumped in to the forest.

At this moment I was in total admiration. I too wanted to jump around out there on the field. I made some attempts but Sandra and Mathias told me that they probably didn't want to play with me.

Later on the walk we went by an artifical lake and what is walking around on the ice if not a WILD BORE! It was large, black and had a lot of hair on its back. Sandra got really scared (so did Paula when they told her) and we hurried away.

All together it was a great experience, even if the wild bore was a bit scary. We finished our daytrip by going to Mälsåkers Slott. It was large and yellow and had a beautiful view of Mälaren. I think I would have made an excellent Castledog, with my natural grace and beauty.
I will post some pictures from today... tomorrow!

Yesterday

I was to tired yesterday to write about my day. We went out for two very long walks. First we went to town, made a quick stop at the dogstore and then we bought some milk at Coop. Nothing much happened, it was just a nice long walk.

The other walk, on the other hand, was full of new experiences and appointments. First we headed up to see Mathias mother and her dog: Donna. Donna is a young dachshound and very energetic but in the same time a bit shy so I didn't bother her much.

They were on their way out to meet up with Mathias two older sisters, their children and a dog: Wilma. We decided to go with them. Wilma barked very much when we met, and as the perfect gentleman I am, I let her be. Sandra told me I was a very good dog with such nice manners and that made me grow a bit, I must tell. The only thing that was a bit awkward with the walk was the two big trollers that carried the children. They made a horrible sound and was really big and dark. After a while I realized it was nothing to be afraid of and then I just enjoyed our walk.

When we got home later I was so tired I went to sleep, in Sandras lap in the sofa. This is the first time I actually slept in the lap of any of them and I really liked it. Gently being stroked on my forehead and just listening to them talking. That was really really nice.

Amazing

I just have to post a quick post: Sandra and Mathias might be the best ever to find candy!!! They found, I think five pieces in my room. I didn't find any but they where kind enough to share the candy with me. Tomorrow I will investigate my room more carefully, maybe I will find some treats... not sure I'm going to share it though... hee hee.

One month

The days are going fast and we have been living with Kuro for one month. He has gone from awareness to awareness and always in the right direction. The bright moments with Kuro have been lighting up our whole existence. Cause this little guy spreads sunshine wherever he goes. Throughout his whole time with us, some things have been increasing; like his will to be near us. In the beginning he liked to stand, stiff like a rock, in the sofa next to us and be petted. Now, he sits next to us and looooooves to get his head massaged.

Some things we love about him are:

- When the leash get tangled around his legs he does these really weird jumps to get rid of it. He actually made a vault one time. (Nowadays he just stands perfectly still and gives us a look which says: Get rid of this, and make it fast!)

- That he follows us in to the bathroom and then falls asleep on the bathroom rug whenever we use the toilet or the shower. It takes only a few second before he's in deep sleep.

- When he lies in the window. - When we find him on the kitchen table looking all innocent like: "I'm not on the table, you got it all wrong".

- When he falls asleep right next to Mathias in the middle of a drumsolo on Rockband.

- When either of us gets home and he does this crazy dance to tell us that he missed us.

- When he has been redecorating his room so we can't open the door.

- In bed when he points his behind to our faces and just gases away. It is so calculated.

Our thoughts right here and now circulates around one question: Is he going to mature even more? When has he reached his final destination? We are more than pleased with him as we speak but it will be interesting to see how he will progress in the future! We have really taken this little fellow into our hearts, can he dig even deeper?

Activities at home

Paula and Daniel sent an activating tip today. I thought I would share it with all of you:

You need:
1 Empty toiletpaperroll
1 (or more, preferably more) nice dogcandy that smells really good

Then you fold the corners and give it to you dog to try and get the candy out.

This was really fun but a bit difficult at the beginning, but I didn't surrender! I kept on trying and trying and eventually I got the piece of candy out. Sandra had taken some minced meat with a slight hint of texmex taste to it. I really, really LOVE tasty food.

Friday 6 February 2009

Pictures

People have requested photos of the agility yesterday. Unfortunately we forgot the camera at home. But I promise that next time, soon hopefully, we will takes loads of photos.

Sandra just got home so I'm going to sleep now. See you tomorrow, I heard me and Sandra are going for a walk with one of her friends. Nice!

Thursday 5 February 2009

Playday

I experienced something fun yesterday. Sandra and Mathias took me to a big fenced field called a kennelclub where they let me play around and also try agility. From the beginning the agility was tough. I didn't really understand what Sandra and Mathias wanted me to do, but after a while I suddently found myself jumping over obstacles and up on small bridges and walking in long scary tunnels. It was great fun and a whole new experience for me being a showdog and all.

Even though it was fun I had a hard time concentrating since I saw them bring a fotball with them, which they tried to hide in a plastic bag. I'm not stupid and knew exacly where the ball was. So after the agility they finally let me play with the ball, they threw it away out on the big field and I ran after it. I must say I did a lot of running and after me came Mathias and we made a funny thing out of it, throwing and running.

It was a fun day.

Tuesday 3 February 2009

Slow day

Sandra has been working today, but she came home at four! So she took me out for a walk, I have really missed that. I don't mind Mathias taking me for walks but I like both of them =)

We haven't been doing any activating for a couple of days, I guess it's because Sandra's been working long hours. But tomorrow I overheard them talking about taking me to the kennelclub for some fun with something called agility. That will be fun!

Bad doggie

Yesterday, when me and Mathias went out for our final walk of the day, a large black maledog came running towards us. I could see he was up for a fight. I did my best to defend myself and Mathias separated us till the other dog's owner also came running. He apologized a thousand times and asked how I was doing. He was really worried. Well, no harm done, I'm perfectly fine. Mathias on the other hand was really upset!

There are lots of dogs in our neighbourhood and many of the owners keep them off-leash. I think that is okay as long as the owners can control their dogs.

Monday 2 February 2009

Too damn early...

...even for me. Sandra must be out of her mind! Yesterday she worked all day and then she headed off to work this morning as well! After only three hours of sleep. Well, I could not care less if she wakes up early and goes to work, but does she really have to wake me aswell. She mumbled something about morningwalk, and that Mathias could sleep longer, when she dragged me outside into the cold crack of dawn.

I think she'll be home for some hours in the middle of the day though, she was just covering for her boss. That means activity walk later, yeah!

Sunday 1 February 2009

My own room

Sandra and Mathias finally realized that a grown up shibamale like myself needs his own private area, where one can lay and think about the important things in life (balls, girls and salmonballs), so they rearranged the smaller of the two bedrooms into my very own room!

As for now I only have my cage, a blanket, an armchair and a towel. It isn't much, one would say, but it is mine. I tried to make it more comfortable by putting the towel outside, I didn't think it was feng-shui at all. When Sandra gets a full paycheck (in the end of March) we are going to decorate my room according to dogish feng-shui. I'm really looking forward to that, but for now; I'm happy with just having my own room.

Heavenly!

Sandra's been away all day again. She went out with me around five this morning and she came home at ten this evening. Me and Mathias has had a pretty good day on our own but I prefer when my whole family is gathered.

Recently I have had my mind occupied by cute females and basketballs so I haven't been to eager to sit still and cuddle. But now I really felt like it so I joined M and S in the sofa. Sandra had magic fingers today and massaged my head and back. It was absolutely lovely! Heavenly, one might say.

Kissie!

http://www.kissies.se

Kissie is so generous

I'm a groovy kind of dog

Tonight Mathias had a friend over and they played Rockband on the TV. I have to say I like when I hear music. If it comes from Mathias guitarr, the Tv or Sandra's singing doesn't matter. I could sit, or lay for hours and just relax.

Who are you?

Since I haven't found anything on how many who reads my blog I would like to ask you to post a comment on this post. You can be anonymous. Thank you!

Fishballs

Me and Sandra just got back from another activitywalk but we did it by our own this time. I walked on a stonewall, jumped up on a table, walked over a big fallen tree and it was really easy with Sandra there to help me. Her secret weapon was fishballs! Or... Salmonballs I think. They are delicious. I would do anything for a salmonball. Yum yum yum.

Today we went on a daycruise to Uppsala, Sandras former hometown. She says it's healthy to breath Uppsala-air once in a while. We ate at Max and met Sandras old friend Johanna. She just had to see me since she'd heard so much about me. She was stunned of my beauty of course.

On our way home Sandra took the wrong way so we spent an extra hour in the car but it didn't matter much since I love to be with Sandra and Mathias. They where listening to music and singing... the singing they could have left out though.

Goodnight

Shaping up

Now, Paula had to reassure Sandra and Mathias that my "behaviour" is pretty normal for a dog in his best years, in the time of bitches in heat. (They never had a dog before, only bitches) I know I have been a bit... how should I say... hard to live with for this past week but I just can't keep it in. I just love the little bitches out there and when they call for me... oh my, oh my, oh my!

But I will try not to whine so much, and try to relax some more. But I'm telling you, Sandra and Mathias, this is very normal! Listen to Paula!

Btw, they took down the gates since they wasn't too keen on me getting braver and braver. They are going to get a solid gate but it is fairly expensive. Well, they can't keep me from the front door yet, so I guess we are going to try something else.

Thursday 29 January 2009

OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe this! This is totally outrageous! Look what they've done!
They've made these weird green things move and sound whenever I touch them.
I'm so frustrated and upset right now. I never thought they would win over me. I'm now laying in the kitchen, far away from Sandra. Oh I'm soooo upset!

Activity walk

The walk today was really interesting! We first met up with the other participants at the Petshop and then we headed off. We were about 6 dogs and our first mission was to jump up and walk on a stone wall. This was really easy for me since I love to jump up on things and walk around. The catch on this one was that I couldn't do anything without Sandra telling me to. I was in a good mode today so I let her make the calls.

The next mission was to balance on top of another stonewall. This was really though since there wasn't a plain surface to walk on, it was big rocks! Sandra guided me through it but she had some help with small pieces of candy. They really kept me motivated!

We did a couple of "stay"-"go ahead" excercises as well. They both included hiding a little bit of candy and then I had to wait for Sandra to say: "Go ahead" before I could take it. I have to say I was really good at this and could tell from Sandras happy voice that she thought so as well.

The last thing we did was going in and out of... well, was what was it... the thing you put your bike in? Anyway, I had to go below the upper one, and over the one near the ground. Do you get it?

Now I'm a bit tired but I thought the walk was really fun and I hope we participate next time as well!

Wednesday 28 January 2009

Like a game

Sandra and Mathias have been experimenting with gates today. I actually feel a bit sad for them when they put in all the effort of making a solid gate, and then I just ram it. They usually put it away after a while and tries to figure out something new. I can tell, they are never going to find anything that can hold me in. I am the master of breaking out, I am the KING of breaking out! I'm just to smart for them, poor Sandra and Mathias.

Tuesday 27 January 2009

My morning routine

I usually sleep until ten minutes to eight. Then I give up this shibascream which creates an interesting effect on Sandra and Mathias. They kind of jump out of bed, disoriented and half asleep. It is always funny to watch. Then I get some tellling-off. However, I only do this because at ten to eight I really need to go out, so, instead of waking them up at six, as I did in the beginning, I am now very nice to them. But I think they realize that.

Monday 26 January 2009

Feeling blue

I don't know what is going on with me today. I'm feeling a bit unmotivated and a bit down. Sandra tried to cheer me up by taking me for a run outside. I enjoyed stretching my legs but I got tired afterwards. I think there are a lot of fertile ladies outside and maybe it is my hormones that is making me low today.

Anyway, I tried to cheer me and Mathias and Sandra up by making their bed. They have a lot of pillows which are really fun to play with. So I am now in a much better mood.

Sunday 25 January 2009

Those stupid humans

As I told you earlier I learned how to ram the gate into the hallway. I was very proud of that but Sandra and Mathias wasn't. So today, when I jumped over the gate a couple of times (I bet I would be really good at Agility) they asked Paula for some advice on how to handle it. She gave them the advice to put me in a closed area where I couldn't reach the gate. Two times they put me in there and then let me out about 10 minutes later.

I decided to teach them a lesson, again (lot of lessons for these humans to learn). I went and lay down in front of the gate without even touching it. Sandra and Mathias were thrilled! They gave me lots of cred for it. But when Mathias took the leash and wanted to go out for a walk I just stayed in my place. Just in front of the gate so he couldn't open it. -What do you say now, HUH? He tried to call me, bribe me, anything but I didn't move a bit. After a while both Sandra and Mathias bursted out with laughter. -Okey baby boy, you made your point, Sandra laughed. After this I stood up and let Mathias put on the leash.

I guess there will be no more sending me away from the gate. VICTORY! Bet this will teach them not to teach ME!

Glassy streets

Ususally we go for at least one long walk everyday but nowadays it is to slippery outside. Even I, who have claws, have troubles walking outside. Well, we will just have to put up with it and go for short walks for a while and then, when the streets clear up we can take our long walks again.

Some new pictures

Gases

Sandra worked all night yesterday, again! She didn't come home until three in the morning. I was really upset with her. I want all of my family to be home when I go to sleep. When she finally got home and went to bed I just had to get my revenge. I lay down with my behind towards her and then I farted, not only once but TWICE. She wasn't to happy about that but I hope she learnt her lesson.

Ps. I learnt how to ram the gate to our hallway. Moahahahaha

Friday 23 January 2009

Family's visiting

Tonight we are acompanied by Sandras youngest brother and his girlfriend. Mathias, on the other hand has a night off tonight. He's at Heron City with a friend, watching a movie. He said something about it would get to crowded in the sofa with four adults. Well... appearently Sandra thinks it is to crowded with three persons in the sofa: Everytime I jump up she tells me to jumo down again. I think this is very rude since I actually live here. I think Jimmy and Carro should be sitting on the floor... if it's so little room in the sofa, I mean.

Well... no hard feelings. I guess they should sit in the sofa, they are, afterall, our guests... and I'm just a simple dog. Great looking, simple dog, that is ;-)

Shiba in Strängnäs

Today we went downtown again to purchase a leather collar for me and a dogtag. When we where heading to buy some burgers for Mathias and Sandra we saw a red Shiba Inu. The dog's owner moved to the other side of the road before we met. I wonder who it was. Anyone who knows?

When we where in the dogshop Sandra signed us up for an Activity walk next thursday. There are only five dogs in each group and we walk across town and does som activity excercises like jumping and crawling. Sandra thought it would be fun for me since I'm such an active dog. But we'll see, we'll take i slow.

Thursday 22 January 2009

Sleepy people

Both Sandra and Mathias have a bad habbit of sleeping to long in the mornings. I like the mornings and the morningwalks, they are the best. That's why I want to get up as soon as possible, mostly around six. Sandra and Mathias usually makes me wait until seven at least, and then takes me out. But when we get back THEY get right back to sleep some more! I can't accept this! Usually I give them a lesson by jumping onto the bed and walk around on top of them. They normaly wake up, but if they don't, right away, I'm ready to bark at them.

One good thing happend today. The famous and talented young actor Heath Ledger that died exacly one years ago today got nominated for an Oscars for his amazing role as the Joker in the new Batman movie "The Dark Knight". I really hope he wins.

Bad weather

I've spend most of the day inside becuase of the bad weather today. I don't mind if it's too cold or too windy but when it's wet and rainy I rather stay inside. The thing is, when my fur and paws is wet, Mathias and Sandra wants dry them with a towel, I don't like it, I don't like it at all. Everytime it comes to drying my paws I try to tell them I don't want them to touch them, but they don't care and continues to use the towel on me anyway. I guess I have to surrender.

Sandra wants me to write that I made a majestic jump onto to sofa tonight. Straight up in the air over the highest point of the sofa. Sandra got so surprised she made a little scream.

Paula's visit

I forgot to tell you about my visitors yesterday. Paula and her sister came to see me! I was really glad to see Paula again, after all, we spent my first days in Sweden together. Her sister was also very nice!

I really had a good time when they where here, all the cuddling and attention... I loved it! But then I got a bit frustrated at Paula. She decided I needed to trim my claws. I didn't agree at all and tried to tell her not to cut them. But she wouldn't listen to me. I tried with everything: Snarl, bark. I also tried to get some help from Mathias or Sandra but they just stood there: Well, Sandra was holding me so she couldn't do much though. Well. Despite this little incident I still fancy Paula.

A very good day, I say.

Shiba in the window

Today we went to celibrate Mathias grandmother. I don't know what age she is, but she is old. We didn't go inside since Mathias and Sandra thought there were too many people inside and I might feel awkward. I don't know what they where thinking. I love humans! And they love me!

Now I'm sitting in the window, just looking out for cats or dogs. Sandra is laying just below me and that makes it a bit difficult to jump down, so I just use her as a springboard. I can't really tell if she's okay with it because first she goes: Ouuuffff! And then she laughs at me. I decide she likes it.

Feeling better

This morning when I woke up I felt much much better. I was actually in such a good mood I let Mathias sleep till half past eight. But when I got back I jumped into the bed to wake Sandra and then no one was allowed to sleep anymore. I played with Sandra for a while. I'm really gotting the hang of playing with humans now. I really enjoy a good playtime.

Tomorrow Paula is coming to visit. I am going to tidy things up around here till then. Or, Mathias is going to do that since Sandra is working again. But I don't think he knows about it yet.. haha.

A bit ill

Today I have been feeling a bit ill. Mathias has been a bit worried since Sandras been at work whole day and whole evening so he called Paula who told him it was probably nothing to worry about. Sometimes dogs eat bad things, but as long as I'm lively and curious I should do fine.

Sandra says I seem just as happy as always and I don't feel ill anymore, so I hope it was just for today. Now I'm going to sleep. Goodnight!

One week

I have now been living with Sandra and Mathias for 7 days, 4 hours and 31 minutes, and I have to say I like it here. I have lots of space, great food, long walks and best of all: two persons who loves me unconditionally! Life is great!

Fieldtrip to Sthlm

I just got home from a very interesting daytrip. We went to see Sandras father, his wife and their baby; The golden retriever Ronja.

I was very excited to meet her and play a little but judge from my surprise when this uptight little lady barked me into place. I just wanted to sniff her behind, like normal dogs do, but she wouldn't let me. Well, I thought she was a bit scary so I decided to try again later, when we went for a walk, but it was the same response.

I guess I have to learn not to be so energetic when it comes to girls.

Besides this I hade a great time. There where a lot of new things to smell and see. We got to borrow a doggame from Sandras father. I haven't tried it yet since I'm quite tired so I'm gonna try it with Sandra tomorrow.

Bye for now

Sandra is writing...

Kuro has been making snarls and barks this evening with no particular reason. He just lays there, sleeping, suddenly he starts snarling and then a couple of barks. He doesn't even get up. He just lifts his head.

This is new to us since he has been a very quiet dog so far. But hey, it's charming!

Guitars

Yesterday, Mathias opened a door to a new room in our house and showed me one of his guitars. I can't remember I've seen one of these things before. Mathias told me that they are used to make music which he loves to do. I thought they where kind of scary so I took it cautious while exploring them. Guitars are big and I think they sound strange, maybe there's something wrong with Mathias guitars, or maybe he's just a bad guitarplayer.

Long walk with Sandra

Today me and Sandra went for a very long walk again. This time she knew exactly where we were all the time. Or at least she behaved like it. We went on for hours in the woods and at one point we actually saw really, really big dogs. They had very very large paws, but no claws. They had hair all way down their necks. And their tails looked like large ponytails. I recall the correct name for these big dogs is Horses.

I was pretty tired when we got back so I have just been sleeping since then.

What's the big deal?

We had a salesperson visiting us tonight. He was at the same age as Sandra and Mathias and he was very nice. He sat down in the sofa and spoke to Sandra and Mathias about a yearbook with all the news from 2007. I thought it was pretty boring so I went back to sleep. This was apparently a good things since Sandra said I was a good dog. I guess she said that cause I didn't pay any attention to the salesman, but why should I... he was boring and was not talking to me at all. Well, I'm glad it pleased my family.

Booooring

Sandra and Mathias where really really boring this morning. First I had to whine for a long time before Sandra even woke up. I mean come ON. It was half past six, what on earth is she still doing in bed one might ask. Well, she took me out for a walk and I got to relieve myself.

Judge from my surprise when she went back to sleep again! This was not something I agreed to so I decided to teach them a little lesson. I jumped up onto the bed, stumbled over Sandra and finally took a big jump right on Mathias stomach. He made a funny noise and looked like he had been hit by a truck or something. Talking about overdoing it. It was just little innocent me.

Well, they didn't get up so I decided not to waste anymore energy on them. Boring people.

Sandra is writing...

I just had to take some time to tell everyone who might be reading this how lucky me and Mathias are to have Kuro in our lives. He is a remarkable shiba which draws attention wherever we might go. He is extremely friendly and very playful.

I can also announce that the diciplinprogram, which we started this afternoon, already is showing. He doesn't rush out the door whenever we open it and he jumps down from the sofa when we ask him to. Okay, I have to be honest... he is very tired due to the long walk earlier today but I really want to believe that he understood what was asked of him because he is a very intelligent Shiba Inu.

I can honestly say that this little doggie has really become a vital part of our lives and we hope he will achieve great results in 2009's dogshows.

So tired, and what is Sandra up to?

I just got back from a two hour walk. And I am soooo tired. We went over the bridge, followed the water around a small islet and then to the store where Mathias got some treats for tonight. I didn't get any though, but that's okay. After all, I'm really really tired after the walk, you know, there is so much to keep an eye on so most of the time I'm exhausted when I get back from walks. Today is definitly no exception. I met a very nice human on the walk, Sara. She is friends with Sandra AND she has a dog of her own. I didn't get to meet her dog today, but we will schedule a meeting soon.

Sandra did something really weird when she was giving me my food tonight. She held on to it and had me to stand still before I got my food. She then sat right next to me when I ate. I didn't get the reason why she did this but I didn't pay much attention to her when I finally had the food in my mouth. It tasted great. Insted of wholegrain rice I get basmatirice. This i prefer since it is more aromatic and tastier.

Now, back to sleep.

Ps. Sandra looked rather pleased when I ate my food, so I guess I did something right.

Relaxation

I'm really getting used to living with Sandra and Mathias. I like the apartment and the neighbourhood. There are a lot of dogs in our building but so far I have only met one of them, the sassy little Aussiegirl. There is also a large rottweiler and an alsacian and some other dogs I don't know the breed of.

From my livingroom I can stand on my backlegs and see out the windows. I see a lot from the 3rd floor and sometimes I get really excited when I see another dog, or a cat.

This evening I've been laying on the floor, just taking it slow, half sleeping. It's really nice to just relax sometimes. No, I'm going to go back to sleeping in front of the television. Good night.

A phonecall

Sandras phone rang earlier today and when she put on the speakers I heard this very familiar voice. I tried to concentrate to try and figure out who was speaking. And then I realised: it was Paula! I was very happy to hear her voice again since I miss her and Daniel. Lucky for me I overheard her and Sandra discussing a visit by Paula and April at my new home.
I'm really looking forward to it.

A nice day

This morning Sandra took me for a long walk in the woods. It is kind of exciting to walk in these woods because they look a bit different compared to those in Japan, hmm... maybe not, but they feels different. We ended up getting lost and walked around for an hour before we got back home where I found a new friend: an Australian Terrier.

Later, around noon, Mathias followed us into the same woods for another walk and this time we didn't get lost at all, in fact, we found a very nice path to walk on.

Sandra and Mathias has changed the position for the gate which is supposed to keep me away from the door. The gate is now located so that I can't reach nor the frontdoor or the bathroom. Unfortunatly, since Sandra is very short, she can't either. She has already broken her favourit pair of trousers. Well, that's what happens when you try to prevent a shiba from going wherever it likes. Heeheehee.

Bad teddy!

All of you who have met me know that I'm a calm and very happy shiba, and this morning I was on my way of picking out my favourite teddybear from Sandra and Mathias bed. There where four of them so you can see how challenging it was for me.

Suddenly, out of nowhere ( Well, I might have shook one of the bears) a large snarl reached my ears. "Oh my god, one of the bears (probably the one I shook) is attacking me" was my first thought. I tried to teach the bear some manners by barking angrily at it. It snarled three times and then stopped. That's when I got my chance. I jumped onto the bear and tried to kill it. But it kept snarling at me and I got more and more confused. "Why didn't it stop?" Sandra and Mathias stood behind me, laughing. Soooo impolite in my opinion.

Well, since I am a noble shiba I decided I didn't want to waste any more energy on that cheeky bear. Stupid bear.

Arrival

I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything for a couple of days, I've been busy. Yesterday I finally arrived at my new home at Sandra and Mathias and spend most of the evening exploring. They got an exciting big screen TV which is cool. At first I thought there were actually humans in there.

They also got a lot of carpets which are very fun to play around with. I'm taking it slow and careful but I think I'm gonna enjoy it here.

Oh, I almost forgot! Mathias gave me a large flag which represents my home country which he put up on the wall behind my bed, it's a Japanese flag and it's absolutely great.

I'm in Sweden!

Aah, I am finally here. I have not yet reached my final destination but I'm doing just fine here at Paula and Daniel's. They let me out in their backyard and I found my first toy: A large ball which belongs to Kuro I. Unfortunately it broke when I got too excited. Hopefully I will be on my way to Sandra and Mathias when Kuro I notices the broken ball.

Swedish weather

I wonder how it will be in Sweden. Are the people friendly? Will dogs I meet be nice to me? Will I even understand what they say, the humans that is, of course. Dog language I do know how to speak since all dogs share the same language. Shiba Inus are amongst the best dogs when it comes to speaking "dog". That is very cool I think! Hopefully my new caretakers know how to understand dogs, at least.

Wait a minute, I heard it was freezing cold over there. Is this true?

Packing my belongings

On Tuesday, 6th, I will be put in my cage and shipped abroad to my new home. This is a bit scaring but mostly I'm excited! This is my chance to shine and Sweden is the country to do it in. From what I've heard there are'nt too many b/t shibamales with my unique and gorgeous appearance.

Oh! I also have my very first frequent blogvisitor. Sweet Hailey have decided to subscribe to my blog. This is good news for me since I've heard she is a really beautiful b/t shibagirl.

My first footprint

Hello there everybody. Soon this blog will contain a lot of interesting happenings. Mostly about me and my new family in sweden, but also about dogshows and other happy events.
